Visit one of these Farmers Markets in Southern Vermont for a bountiful assortment of produce, fruits, prepared foods, and unique artisan wares! Stock up on the fresh foods because eating whole foods rather than processed foods is better for your health.

I grew up living next to my grandparents who were quite adept at gardening, canning, and baking. I probably, like most kids, took it all for granted when it came to eating fresh, home-grown fruits and veggies. Today, I crave the foods from my childhood when I have to suffer through the grocery aisles for tomatoes because the Farmers Market is not open.

In fact, I never had to buy jelly until I reached my 20’s, and what a not-so-good surprise that was. It is hard to explain the vast difference in taste and overall goodness from garden fresh and homemade to not. If the grace of garden fare has not befallen upon you, then you simply won’t understand the difference until you’ve tried it for yourself.

With the number of stories and reports out about the use of pesticides and other unnatural methods of preserving our food, it is understandable to want to find a healthy alternative. Plus, these Farmers Markets in southern Vermont practice sustainable agriculture, so the environment is less impacted in a negative way. It is truly a win-win for everyone (and the planet)!
