If you’re in the middle of mapping out your summer activities, here’s one to put on the “must do” list. The Manchester Food & Wine Classic is coming to Stratton, Vermont August 25-27 this year. This is not a wine and cheese party. This is an event complete with more than 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and locally made products. The Manchester Food & Wine Classic is unique because it combines tastings and samplings with a variety of events. From cooking demonstrations to outdoor activities, there is something for everyone.
The weekend kicks off August 25th with several fun things to do. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, you may want to buy a ticket to the Sip, Swirl, and Dine event at the Copper Grouse. This includes a four-course upscale dinner.
If you ‘re looking for more of an active event to kick off the weekend, head over to The Equinox for Wine and Nine on August 25th.

For the wine and book lover, The Books and Bottles event may be just the thing. Listen to award-winning author Alice Feiring discuss her book, “The Dirty Guide to Wine: Following Flavor From Ground to Glass”, where she separates wines by soil. This event is also taking place on August 25th.
A truly unique experience is happening on August 26th. Vinyasa and Vino starts with a gondola ride to the summit of Stratton Mountain.
From here you will enjoy the mountain air by striking a few yoga poses. When you’re done a gourmet lunch prepared by Stratton Mountain Club awaits you.

This event is touted as one of the grand daddies of them all. At this event as well as the Best of the Fest Kick off, you’ll have access to more than 200 wine samples from around the world. There will also be food samples from local chefs and live music. The Kickoff event is held at the Equinox Resort. The Grand Tasting Event closes the weekend at Stratton Mountain. The Manchester Food & Wine Classic pairs up with several area restaurants to serve up an array of dishes. Café Sora, The Copper Grouse, Fortuna’s Sausage, Consider Bardwell Farm, and The Perfect Wife Restaurant are all taking part. Each restaurant will provide samples during the Grand Tasting Event as well as a full dinner menu during specific events.

Before you buy your tickets or book a room you should know The Manchester Food & Wine Classic is a 21& over event. So send the kids to grandma’s house for the weekend! Keep Fido at home as no pets are allowed either. Also, there are no refunds on tickets. The event is rain or shine, so plan accordingly.
