Mom’s Day Out – Friday May 12th 12- 5 pm
Come celebrate Mother’s Day early with a fun-filled afternoon at the Brattleboro Food Co-op!
This is a Free Event and open to everyone in the community.
Come a bit early to the Community Room for a pre-event Yoga Class at 11am.
At Noon, the festivities begin with greeting Mom’s at the entrance with a free carnation and a shopping bag with some goodies and valuable coupons (for the first 50 Moms)!
Enter our Free Drawing for one of the prizes we have made available for this event. We hav hundreds of dollars in Free Drawing Giveaways!
Our prizes include socks from Maggie’s Organics, a Badger Gift Basket, Warming Pot, Linen Scarf, a MotherLove Gift Basket, Travel Mugs, Books and lots more. Everyone is invited to enter. No purchase is required.
There will be samples, trials and demos throughout the store boasting over 20 of our loved manufacturers and local producers from chocolatiers to cheese and health & beauty products. Enjoy a new smoothie from our own Deli and/or sample some refreshing artisanal hard cider.
2 Classes are featured during the afternoon which are FREE to attend (limit 20 people each).
12:15-1PM: Peri Menopause Seminar with Susan Stanton. Natural Support for Perimenopause – Periomenopause, the transition into menopause can last a decade or more for some women. Learn how herbs and supplements can stabilize, balance, and uplift us during this time of physical, emotional, sexual, and spiritual change. 2:30-3:30pm: Making the Best Pot of Loose Leaf Tea: from Tea on the Go to Gongfu Tea with Stone Leaf Tea. Join us for a tasting session featuring Stone Leaf Teas from the Bulk Department. We’ll bring our plethora of teawares and talk about different ways of making loose leaf tea to suit your own needs…from your car to ceremony, and everything in between. Recently returned from Yunnan, China, the home of the ancient tea trees, we’ll also dive into these featured teas and what makes them so special.
