My husband and I opened The Silver Fork in Manchester Vermont in August of 2011. We are a small six table restaurant with five bar stools. Our menu is International and my husband, Mark, is the Chef. We came to Manchester after Mark’s brother called us and told us that this space had become available. We flew out from St. Louis, took a look and decided this was for us. We were in St. Louis for two years and before that we lived in Puerto Rico for twenty years. Mark started out working at a young age with a German Chef for five years and then went to work with Hilton International for ten years. After that we had a restaurant in Puerto Rico for thirteen years. I mention this because most of our guests want a little history and to know how our menu became so eclectic. I should mention that we both love food and wine and we want to share this love with our guests. Oh…I did already…well…it’s worth saying twice.
