MANCHESTER, VT –
Lisa Kelly moved to Manchester 21 years ago, and she hasn’t sat still since.  She’s been a teacher, a sports coach, a mother of three, a leader of non-profit organizations, and an active community member.  Now she is going to try her hand as a business owner.  Her studio, Zen Revolution Spin and Yoga Studio, is now open for business, and she had an open house in April with spin cycle demos and instructors on hand. “We’re looking to create a community place,” Kelly said in a recent interview with the local paper. “We have a lot of different packages, and it’s not crazy expensive — it averages out to $10 a class.”

Manchester, Vermont, a picturesque New England town and retail destination, sits in a lush valley surrounded by majestic mountains.  It is really the perfect backdrop for one of Kelly’s many mantras:

“breathe in joy and strength – breathe out wisdom and peace.”  Her studio combines a love for fitness and the outdoors with mindfulness, health, and well-being.

I had a couple of friends who said ‘Yoga would be the perfect thing for you,'” Kelly said during the same interview. “I loved it and wanted to start teaching.” But the process of building a new business from scratch did not come easily. “[It] has been both frustrating and empowering,” Kelly concluded.  Kelly may have learned to love the business side of things, but her motivation was most evident in her final comments noting the packed rooms with smiling, sweaty people. “Ride. Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Repeat.”  That is what Lisa Kelly is all about.
